My dad just got an Edge box in his LB7 and if ya floor it it takes off like a stock truck even when driving down the road yet if ya give it about 3/4 throttle it takes off like a bat outta hell. is this normal

sounds kind of wierd i had a predator 60hp chip and it was under the hood hook ups only 3 wires and that helped everywhere but no crazy improvement is it installed right?

If it has the Attitude, increase low speed fueling.

I always felt like my LB7 was faster at 3/4 throttle than full when running the Edge. I think it got better after the trans upgrade. But that was along time ago, so my memory is a little fuzzy. I suspect the TCM might be pulling it back a little at full throttle.

The predator under hood chip (not to be confused with the Predatro Programmers by Diablo) you have only increases the injection rail pressure, so the increase will be light as compared to the Edge or van Aaken modules that do fuel pressure timing and pulse width controls etc.

How long since he changed his fuel filter?

My LB7 runs hard in ANY of the edge levels (all set on 5 for smoke). From a non-boosted launch, the first 1-2 seconds are a little slow, but then it pulls. Since I have mine set to defuel on shifts, it feels a little "soft" from 3,000-3,200 rpms. This will be fixed shortly when I upgrade the trans.

Mine seems to do the same thing, floor it from any speed and it kinda falls flat on it's face but if you do 3/4 to 7/8 throttle it wants to fly.

take a look at the back down percent and or the trans slip if you have an attitude. Mine didnt take off like stock but6 I seem to remember it not pulling much harder at WOT than at 3/4.
