Anyone out there with an 03 having any problems with the fuel tank sensors. On my truck the fuel gauge doesn't read accurately to the point you can drive 200 plus miles before it will come of of E. Had it replaced four different times and GM has a TSB on it and has now said it put a new and improved sensor in the tank. Now it never goes to full and after 20 miles you have used a quarter tank. When I monitor the fuel useage the DIC maintains accurate accounting of the used gallons. The dealer has said it has done everything it can do. I will never run out but when you pay 45,000 for a truck one would expect it to be right:ro)

A friend had a problem recently on his 02'. I believe that GM has a recall or TSB on this because the repair was free for him.

When I worked in New Mexico. Tac was looking into the isues. The dealers in the southwest where showing high replacement rates of tank senders. the fould that the 4 corners area and sourounding dealers where showing very high signs of sulfer in the fuel and the sulfer was putting a coating on the sensor.the only fix other than a sending unit was to clean off the sensor. it was isolated to that area. that was in 02-03 when I was there.
