I was wondering if anyone knows what the docking station and the PDA would cost? My buddy is selling me his Banks Six Gun With Speed Loader but he didn't get the PDA with it. i realy would like to ability to check DTCs and use it for gauges. Thanks

I think it is around $300, just for the docking station and $600 for both.Call banks first with A # on the tuner, some of the older ones won't work with the pda.

I ran the SixGun with the switch for about six months and then went to the PDA, so you shouldn't have any problems. You can get the Palm Tungsten E2(the same PDA that Banks sells) at most electronics stores(Best Buy,CompUSA,etc) for about $200, even less on Ebay. The docking station comes either with the thermocouple(about $350) or without(about $300).

The docking station for the Pda is about 280$. It costs a little more because it has the programming for the pda. The Pda you can get from best buy for what ever wall mart sells it for -make them price match, I think it was around 150$ w/ the 2 yr warranty.

Get the universal suction cupmount with it instead the the dash mounted one. It costs a little more, but it is so nice & you can remove it with no dealer knowing. You like it.

Whats the difference between the tx and the e2? besides 100 bucks

Palm TX has 128MB memory vs. E2 32MB.
Palm TX has bult in wi-fi vs. E2 NONE.
Palm TX screen is bigger and can rotate.

What did you have to do to make the TX fit? i might be interested in upgrading my PDA if its not too difficult. Is the software the same?

If its used Make Sure it has Been Cleared of the prior vehicle History,Moving from Vehicle to vehicle can be trouble some, also if EGT sensor/probe was install earlier it will not function without.

good to know. i asked and they said they bought it for there dad and he never put it in. so.... i guess i'll see.
