i have a 2001 2500hd, 58k miles, i'm experianceing problems with nonegagement of reverse and drive with the lighted background flashing or no light at all. also it will slam into gear forward and reverse, it will also do this while in motion shifting from D to 3rd which i know is extremely hard on it. I have seen the TI bullentin on TSB 03-07-30-011A torque conv. bleed off but this is with in a 5 to 10 minute time frame not setting for weeks at a time. HELP:confused: TIA Bill.

I would start by checking the NSBU switch. Look to see if yours is Black or Tan..

If black, thats the first place I would go if guessing. Better answer is to have the thing scanned and see if any codes present. If not then put a NSBU on it, if so, then start with that first. Also, check the fluid level when at full operating temp. If its low, it could act up on you as well
