Hey Folks,
I've got an '04 2500 HD with the LLY engine. It's completely stock and has about 14k on it. Up until now I've noticed no problems at all. However, now that it has gotten cold, I "think" I am experiencing some sort of surge/hesitation problem in the mornings.
Basically, I only notice this problem at one point in the morning as a pull a hill on the freeway (60 mph) about 5 miles from my house. It seems to occur just after the Ally trans has gotten warm enough to lock up in overdrive (which usually occurs about 1/2 mile before I pull this hill). This surge/heistation only seems to occur in the mornings at this one particular point. I have not experienced anything when the engine is colder and the tranny has not yet locked up, nor after the engine/tranny are fully warm.
I know that it's about time to replace the fuel filter, but I don't know if that would have anything to do with these symptoms or not. Also, I've heard about a potential reflash, but I'm not sure if that would be appropriate for this situation.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!!
