: Can my Diablo Pred Version 2.02 be saved??

I have a Diablo Predator version 2.02 for my 05 LLY. Long story short I had a tune in the truck when some moron hit me 500 miles from home and the truck is now totalled out. The insurance already payed out on the truck and I bought an 06 LBZ.

I still have the LLY predator just no LLY truck. Anyways, I read on here somewhere the tuner is "vinlocked" once you install a tune on your truck. Since I don't have the truck anymore to unload the tune is the predator even usable or if someone trys it on their truck is it just going to be locked out?? I would hate to have to just toss it out.

Thanks.

My *guess* is that if you call Diablosport and explain the situation, they could unlock it for you (probably for a fee), but that's just a guess.

The predator for the 04.5 through 05 LLY will not work for the 06 LBZ if I remember correctly. The 06 model number is U7186. The model you have for an 05 is U7185. I don't think they will match up. Unless you want your LBZ to run like an 05 LLY! :D:D Only joking.;)

Thank you for the reply. I realize I can't use it on the LBZ. I just thought if I could get it unlocked I could give it to someone that could use it. :)

I would call them and send it back to them. It is a flash drive component, and it can be reflashed and reprogrammed so it can work again! I would not throw it away. Good luck!
