Info/Questions:
When I bought my truck the dealer put "Gas" as the fuel requirement on the paperwork. I questioned him regarding this, as the truck uses Diesel. His response was all new vehicles are either "G" for gas/diesel or "E" for electric. Is this true? I talked to the Auto Clulb and they are on my side. With OBDII/CAND smog stuff on the LLYs, does this change the Gas-Diesel-Electric registration? On the Registration paper, it is the "G" under the "MP" field.

mine too. i went to pick it up right after i bought it and i read it while 3 little spanish speaking squuegy boys ran and filled 'er up. scared the hell out of me i thought they would put gas in it! by the looks of them cheap gas too!

same here. registration came back diesel. Finance dude told it doesn't matter, they key off the vin.

Just checked my state registration. Under the spot for "Fuel" it was entered as Gasoline.:confused:

BTW I am in Utah.

Same here in Georgia, DMV advise Gas was only box to check other than electric.

Hey, you know what it is and that is what counts. Let the bureaucrats fidget and fret about it. Talk to someone who pilots a jet aircraft and they refer to jet fuel as gas.

Hmmm. When I got my plates they asked gas or diesel and she marked it diesel on my registration.

Mine was originally marked gas, but I had them change it to diesel. The dealership screwed up on both the title and the reg.
