cat_diesel_man 12-26-2007, 06:22 PM Alright guys its time for me to come to the dark side im a ford man im selling my powerstroke for a d-max i have fell in love with them and my 6-leaker just cant keep up so im gona need some help findin a new truck whats the best year model for the money and so fourth im not new to fourrms im a maember at comp and the garage so guys help me out whitetrash21 12-27-2007, 12:31 AM welcome to dp fara as trucks are concerned..... 01-04 are lb7 duramax - known injector probs, gm warranties to 200k or 7 yr, 5 spd allison 04.5 - 05 is the lly duramax - some had overheat issues but there is a fix... comes with a vvt turbo, 5 spd allison 06 - 07 is the lly/lbz - i dont know of any probs for these year trucks, the 06 lly doesnt have the same overheat issues that some 05 models had, comes with vvt turbo, 6 spd allison 07.5 to present is the lmm -its the new body style truck (gmt 900), essentially the same as lbz but it now has the dpf system in the exhaust cat_diesel_man 12-27-2007, 06:35 PM Thanks my only concern is the injector issue | ||
