Nav unit with 102 last numbers

I bought a GM kit which includes everything needed for the swap. Did the install and now the unit is not working and the truck does not work either. It will not start or respond to the remote, the only things that work are the fan controls and dash lights.

HELP ASAP Please!!!

I am ready to reverse all the install to see if I can even use the truck.

I installed a factory Nav unit today and now my truck (2007 NBS HD LTZ) is not working. Only the fan controls and dash lights work, the truck does not start. The lock/car on the dash is lit up, does this mean anything? I of-course disconnected both batteries before I did the install. What can I do to disable the security mode? It is like if the truck has been started remotely with certain things not working until inserting the key.

By the way, I do have a post in the electrical, but it is not moving.

more then likley the theft deterant system is active have you tried diconecting the batterys for 5 mins then plug them back in and try you remote to unlock the truck ? wht did you put in the truck stero wise what adapters did you use

I did a Nav unit install and now my truck is in the security lock position with nothing working but the fan controls and dash lights. Is there any way to reset or make this go away and get my truck working again?

I tried disconnecting the batteries again and tried the remote before anything else - no good.

I used a GM complete Nav install kit with all factory harnesses and parts.

U might try to uninstall the nav unit & see if it starts then. If so then your adapter may be wired wrong

wht did the install kit consist of it should just plug into the factory harness wht was in the rest of the kit? also like said go back to where you started uninstall wha you did and see if tht fixes the problem did u have the nav reporgramed with ur vin

Got it working. My bad, I installed the Pink wire into J-14 and not J-4. Now the wire is in J-4 and all is working but the radio is locked. I guess the next step is to bring it into the dealer so they can unlock and program the radio.

GOOD LUCK! I got a factor nav setup for my truck and the dealer could not unlock it. The 08's are majorly locked down, they had to have GM issue a VCI Code to unlock it but it didn't work, have spent a couple hours with the tech and the computer trying to get it to unlock but it just errors out. I haven't been back in a couple months to see if their database is updated with the 08 stuff yet, but I have the DVD Nav, Flipdown, RV Camera, and some other stuff thats waiting to go in.

I may be wrong but I think the radio serial # has to be registered to the truck with a tech 2 for a new factory radio to work.
I know I had to take mine to the dealer to program it when I did the same nav swap in my 2007 NBS

man thats a relief...you scared me ...i was getting ready to order one my self but after that story i will have to make sure that i have someone there that knows what is going on....

$135 later I got it back from the dealer and all is perfect as if the unit came installed originally. Man, what a nice dash make-over! Now I just need to learn the Nav operations.

Just curious, with this kit, do the voice command features work?

Also, what was all involved in the install? Any chance you can scan/post or email some of the install instructions?
