: Cold Weather and Power Steering Blowoff???

Ok we've had a recent cold stretch here around -10 but starting to warm up. Truck started fine all these days, but I've found a little oil spot forming on my parking pad. I took a few moments at work today to climb underneath to see what I could. I haven't properly identified the oil(my assumption is power steering fluid) from where I've found the wet spot and traced up.

So with the impending cold could it have had a blowoff release due to high pressures or should I start looking for a cracked line?

It'll be a few days before I can do some research, but I've got less than 300 miles before my bumper to bumper expires so I'm wondering if it may have been a cold weather fluke or if anyone else has experienced this on their truck.

Yes I did check my P/S fluid and it seems fine for level.

Victory, I think the relief valve is in the pump but am not exactly sure with the hydro boost as part of the system. I would check the return line from the hydro boost to the back of the tank and the HP fittings on the back of the tank. I just changed mine over to synthetic. Later! Frank
