i put new tire and wheels on the truck ,and now i cant get 2 of the sensor to work.i went to do the relearn and only 2 would make the horn chirp.now it says to get the tps serviced.
do i need 2 new sensors?
can i just buy aftermarket ones?
or is there a fix for these?

Did you put the sensors back into the original locations?

By the way, where are the sensors located? Are they in the wheel or in the valve stem?

When the tire dealer put mine on they marked the tire locations to put them back in the same place.

You could take it to the dealer and they can fix it.

The sensors are part of the valve stems.

Shawn: Read this. (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=150676) Hopefully you didn't 'pinch' the sensors?? Hope this helps!

I read somewhere, I think it was a Corvette site, that you can lower the air pressure to get it to re-learn the position. Do a google search on TPMS.

Better yet - the owner's manual tells how to re-learn the wheel positions after rotating, etc.

I did the relearn thing on my truck and if it takes you over 2 minutes per tire it stops the relearn process and you have to start over. Not sure if you are aware of this or not but just throwin it out there. The tpms sensors are connected to the valve stem inside the tire; its a little box.

Had the same thing happen to me when I switched my wheels to aftermarket. I could not get the last sensor to relearn. I flicked the valve stem the last time as i got frustrated and them the horn chirped! I followed the manual up until that point. Stupid as it sounds, try wiggling the valve stem during the relearning. Worked for me.
