Driving home from Ohio to NC yesterday and I just happened to glance down and th ething is stuck at 3500 RPM?? It would not drop down any lower than 3000 RPM even if I shut down the truck? The only thing not stock on there is it is programmed with a Hypertech Programmer?

Oh, and I keep getting a code "U1041" on my programmer? What is that?

Code "U1041" means no communications (class 2 serial data) from the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) to the Serial Data Monitor. So says volume 5 of the service manual. May be the module momentarily looses power or has poor connection. Could be the module is failing internally. Good luck in your hunt!
