I'll guess, L/R turn and highbeam.

Why? Dunno, something to do with dimming or because they are common on all model trucks?

ill agree with dimming. you woudnt want your turn signals on a dimming ckt. would you?

Right and Left turn signal, and the cruise control indicator. It has to do with them being green. My guess is expense, back in 02 green surface mount LEDs were few and far between making them pricey...they've come down since. Just a side note, non of the indicator lights are on the dimming circuit, just the 9 gauge illumination light bulbs....

Well PK, you posed the question, what is the answer? I don't buy the green LED shortage theory...

I am pleased that the '05 highbeam indicator light has been toned down a few candle watts. The one on my '04 Denali is WAY to bright. But that is now my wife's problem...

you can take it back to the dealer and they can reflash your truck and town down the high beam indicator. I had it don on my 03 anyway

Didn't say shorage, I said pricey because they were few and far between, not as many were produced at the time...
Lets here your guess on why it's just the green ones...

h#ll i dont know i was browsing through electrical diagrams looking for ways to hook up my remote start channels 3 & 4 to do something neet. how about they used leds for the dummy lights because they dont burn out, and they monitor critical stuff, but turn signals the want very bright, high beam i dont know but my 04 is way too bright.

On these trucks I usually hook up the aux channels to the flash to pass to make it easier to find the truck in large parking lots at night. The other on I hook to the cargo light so you can turn it on to see in the back without having to open the truck....

The REAL reason for the bulbs is to give dealers the opportunity to change at least some bulbs and charge you big $$ for the replacement....

Actually they're not allowed to...
