I had the plow on today and put it in 4-hi. I also put it in the tow-haul mode to see if it would help slow me down in the snow. I noticed the tranny would let out a whine at a certain RPM. It would happen when accelerating. Is it bad to run the tow-haul mode in 4-hi?
Thanks

This is most likely not your tranny whining but the Transfercase. Transfer case whine under certain conditions is normal.

Your wine is the transfercase ( lots of turning gears), don't worry about it. As far as T/H while your in 4X4, I think it's a good idea and will not hurt anything and will give you less wheel spin.

Mine does the same thing sometimes....I find T/H works great for traction too, real nice for decelerating.
