ok i bought a 1995 ext cab short box to replace my 97 crew cab that burnt down. and i took it on a trip today and it feels like it lakes power.
my old truck would peak at 16-17 psi max
my new truck only hit about 11psi max

ya so to say i had to pull a uhaul trailer with me for 400km and it really lagged on the hills. i was actually losing speed.

so what could be wrong with it.
maybe a vacum line?
i have another 2 days till i leave to go home. but with no trailer this time but would like to solve this boost problem before i have to go.

how big was the uhaul trailer. which hill, the coquihalla ??? that used to slow me down 42mph at the top with the camper and boat. hopefully i'll be at 60-70 mph next time with new upgrades. is your truck giving any codes, i know you have reduced engine cooling with the 95, but not sure on which turbo you have, gm4 vs. gm8, if you are near surrey bcm i can give you a vacuum pump off a running truck for the price of a shortened belt and i'll also throw in a vacuum diaphram for a gm8. I'd say do your own diagnostic checklist and get familiar with her... Leave no stone unturned.

one line - how many lines are there. any black smoke when ya step on it ???? seems kinda odd to plug the line off unless he has converted to a turbomaster. Ed
