That is what I am going to start calling the LLY after the install of the KD 4-into-5 exhaust on the truck. The 5 inch pipe back from the muffler sounds really cool at idle. It has a really distinct hiss / jet sound that steps right up to nice rumble with some great turbo whistle when you whack the throttle. :D

The install was pretty easy, all the prior threads on killing kitties and such made the removal a cinch even without a lift. The stainless band clamps with the kit make for a great seal on the seams, absolutely no leaks.

The stock system is really restrictive, no news there but the cat makes it even worse. The truck is running really peppy, it picked up a good gain by the sotp meter and I love the sound. :ro) I even ran it around with the windows down in the 30 degree weather to hear that turbo music. The LLY sounds quite a bit different than the LB7 but I like it. :ro) I did some boosted launch tests, the LLY comes out of the hole pretty good so I might be able to make a race and tow truck outa that sucka.

Now I gotta figure out intake mods and gauges so the real power adder playing can begin. :D

That have a straight through type muffler? How loud is compared to MBRP or banks or straight pipe? I gotta do something to my exhaust but I haven't decided what yet. Probably straight pipe it first and see how it sounds. I have the front pipe with no kitty from a LB7...

Straight through type muffler with louvers. The truck is louder of course than stock, but not overly so. I have not heard any other LLY systems yet. It has no resonance at any point in the RPM range and I think it will mellow out a bit once it seasons in. The 5 inch pipe is most definitely louder than a 4 inch system. Overall I find it very comparable to my Banks 4 inch on my LB7.

The straight piped trucks sound pretty cool but tend to get a bit overbearing when towing. This system might be a good compromise for you but exhaust systems are very subjective. This one works for me!

If Brandon's past posts are any indication, Peaches was writing the check, saying "more power is good".....
