I was adding a salt speader to my truck and blew a fuse. The problem is I cannot find the blown one. I was in the small fuse box in the dash. I used a spaid connector on one of the single prongs on the left lower side of the fuse box. I think there is 6 prongs there. Now the one I was using does not have 12v but the others do. Does anyone know where the fuse is for this? I can't find anything else on the truck that does not work.

Check your under-hood fuse block. What fuse did you tap, if you tell me I can see what one you blew. Hopefully it's not one of those square, hard to find, expensive ones....

I checked all the fuses under the hood and all had 12v on each side.

I didn't tap a fuse. There are around 6 male prongs that have 12v on them in the fuse box inside the dash. I tapped onto one of those and blew whatever fuse feeds it. Now the one I tapped does not work. I also check all the fuses in that fuse box too, the're all good too.

What color is the connector and what color is the wire?
You have power windows and locks? If so, are they working?
this might sound odd, but check your turn signals and hazards...

Everything is working fine. I didnt tap onto any wire. Just the prong in the fuse box. If you look at the one by the drivers door in the dash you'll see what I mean. Its almost like its an empty slot where something might plug into.

I do not believe those taps are fused. You probable burned it open somewhere. Use and in line fuse on another one. Later! Frank
