I am trying to figure out what a C motor and J motor is.

I have an 86 Blazer and I took another 6.2L from an 84 K20 to put it in. That motor was swapped in from an unknown donor a few years back.

The motor I have is EGR (all that junk will be removed though).. is this the C motor?

I am asking because I need to get a gasket set for the motor and they list 2 different kits.

C motors have the EGR, J motors do not.
