HA, HA, HA, HA etc. After lurking here for a couple of months I took delivery last Tuesday and would call myself an insider now. Well, at least I know what LLY means. A GREAT TRUCK. This is also the most adult and informative forum I have been on. It's fun at the same time. For awhile at least that new truck will be my hobby.

EPR means engine pressure ratio. It's and aviation term used to describe the pressure ratio betweeen the inlet and exhaust on an older jet engine like on the Boeing 727 so MAXEPR means full power.

I think you'll find the Dmax isn't the slow, stinky, smelly, noisy type diesel you're used to. Heavy, maybe. Expensive...only when you start modding...

You will find that the Duramax is not slow by any means. For this truck to be this heavy you can still take just about any car on the road today!

Good Choice I think. Welcome to this place. Some good advice available and some you just got to make up you mind on. Stay stock, save some money and maybe some problems. (My advise, and I'll probably catch some ---- for saying that.)
