WAskier,

Nice rig ! Any adjustments or lift ? Any problems with rubbing ?

Ace of chaos - Thanks! I didn't crank the t-bars on my truck so it does rub some. The tires hit the inner fenderwell at full lock but they just kiss it so it doesn't make too much noise. I did have to remove my molded mud guards on the front and am currently trying to figure out a way to reinstall them in a way that they won't get ripped off.

I also had to cut the bottom corners of the front bumper because the tires were hitting there pretty bad. If you click on the link to my truck I think I have a picture of where I (Ok discount tired did it cause I couldn't drive it out of the lot it was rubbing too bad.) hacked the corner of the bumper.

I was thinking about that cognito leveling kit but I kind of like the stinkbug stance my truck has. decisions decisions... :D

Oh and one other note, these tires stick out past the fenders so they throw crap alll over the place. You just get to clean the truck more often that's all ;)

WAskier - I like the stance too. But I liked my mud flaps enough to crank the torsions just a little 1/2" or so and the rubbing discontinued and I also grinded a small portion of the inside lip off just for added protection. The alignment was ~ $59.

I run the EVO's also. Look at my sig for a pic of the whole truck. Notice the trimmed bumper cover.

I went to a tire and wheel shop today. I saw a real nice set of wheels that were 17 x 8's. The kid behind the counter said I cant put those on my truck without lifting it first. Is he right? Cant I put that rim on there and just adjust tire size in order to prevent any rubbing I cant remove by cranking down on my t bars?

The rim size does not determine tire size? Tell that kid he should have stayed in school.
The tire size in my sig is about as big as you can go without adding a lift, green keys, blocks, or cutting the cr*p outta the inner wheel liners and front bumper. People get 33's on , but they have to move the bumper foward and carve alot of inner fender.

I have designs on the new Hammer for sure but my local dealer has two leftovers he's dealing on. A custom ordered Vegas: Triable flames all the chrome plus the slanted down Arlen Ness pipes...way sweet and a wicked Kingpin chromed out with stage two engine kit/pipes and a custom paint job that really stands out. Both are priced really closely to what I could have COP'd the Hammer for... I just dunno. I've been Eying Victory since they looked like farm equipment and now the time seems right to buy. They still are claiming there will be two new model intro'd over the next two years. What to do, what to do. I can't knock my VFR, it still floats down the road, corners on rails and runs the quarter in 11 seconds. Course I do own and could hold on to for track days and Sunday hooliganism.:D I'm glad to hear you like it, though.

The 04 Vegas is 100ci and has a 200mm rear tire.
The 99 has 10.5:1 pistons, cams, and a few other goodies. Has over 86,000 miles on it to. Not one problem!
The Hammer will be here in March. And that on will get the 106 ci kit from S&S
