ARE THERE HEAVIER DUTY U-JOINTS AVAILABLE FOR THE DURAMAX.
I HAVE THE ALUMINUM SINGLE PIECE REAR DRIVESHAFT ON MY CREW CAB. IT SEEM LIKE NOBODY IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE DRIVE SHAFT, BUT IF A U-JOINT GO'S, IT'S MORE THAN LIKELY TO TAKE OUT THE DRIVESHAFT OUT WITH IT.
IF SOMEBODY HAS A BRAND AND/OR PART #, THAT WOULD HELP OUT GREATLY.(WHEN IT COMES TO NON-OEM PARTS, THE GUYS AT THE PARTS STORES ARE NOT MUCH HELP.)
I'D RATHER NOT SPEND $100+ ON AN OX BRAND, BUT IF SPICER HAS AN UP- GRADE THAT WOULD BE GREAT.

Spicer has a heavier greasable one that the GMC dealer installed in my truck. The parts dept. at your dealer should be able to help you out.

You'll feel the U-joint going long before it would come apart and do damage to the driveshaft.

Went to a show in Indy and the dana/spicer guys said the HD trucks have the heaviest one they can go without changing the yoke.
