yes you can, EFI can turn off any codes that may be caused by removing the cat

...when you get a turbo back exhaust (no cat) supposedly your engine throws codes. to fix that you can either get an egr blocker plate or a tuner...

No, EGR blocker is a total different thing. You have to get a turner or with mine which is a 04.5 I was able to run my truck without the cat for a month or so and then the code stayed off but during that month+ it was on and off.

an EGR blocker plate physically blocks the EGR off from the intake; it won't control codes. You can actually shut off the egr function in the tune, but some people think that at high boost there's still a chance of it being forced open.

can a totally stock stuck make enough boost to do that?

I'm not sure a modded truck can do it. I am not worried about it even with a race tune.

Note that a EGR blocker plate will practally make your truck throw codes.

If you add a system, you will either need to do a tuner, or a Finger Stick, found on www.kennedydiesel.com.

If you are doing the finger stick, myswell do the blocker plate at the same time to completely block it off. Better for your motor anyways.

Tuner or Fingerstick. Thats your answer!!! Do a search for FINGERSTICK
