We're down in southern KY and my father-in-law's 05 LLY/A went into limp mode <2000 rpm.
Turning key off for 30 minutes doesn't reset it.
Do we need to unhook battery?

They tech replaced a sensor last week.

i don't have the codes and am on a 20k link so this computer is really slow.

If we can get back home, I'll get codes from dealer but they say nothing is wrong.

We took it for a drive down the holl'r, it would go to 3000 rpm but after i turned around and went up a hill it would hesitate/bog down @1800rpm then rev on up but doesn't have the power (almost like the VVT is slow working).
He put fuel and additive in the tank 100 miles ago after it started doing it.
We hope to make it home tomorrow.
I could put my J/A on it to get boost psi if that would help.

He got home Sunday w/ it.

They stayed an extra day hoping if he needed help it would be better than being stuck on Christmas day.

Guess it's back to the dealer today.
