Ok here's the story...I put my truck in 4X4 this morning because of the snow, drove about 4 miles and disengaged 4X4 before i got onto the highway. I got on the highway and drove for a little bit and hit my brakes then tried to accelerate but wouldnt go anywere, my rpm's were hitting there peaks and it was like my tires werent even spinning. I came to a complete stop and put it back in 4X4 but when i touched the handle that engages it, it was vibrating pretty rough. After I put it in 4X4 it drove fine. Then put it back in 4X2 later and it drove fine. Any idea on what could've happened?

It sounds like your transfer case slipped into neutral. You may not have gotten it back into 2wd real good or your transfer case linkages may need to be adjusted.
