Took it to the dealer, they found my fuel filter plugged. They changed it and told me my fuel pressure is on the low side,May need trans pump.Customer to monitor. Will it stalled again once on me today.Got it started and ran fine the rest of the day.Being -38C with the windchill, could it be I got a bad tank of diesel fuel? I also use Howes diesel conditioner plus when I fill up.

More likely the lift pump or OPS are weak and low supply pressure is the result.

You say stalled 'again'. What were the original symptoms? Could not find any previous posts about this.

I was driving along and the engine just stalled. It started after sitting for 2 min. and ran for 5 min. In the five min. The engine ran like it had no power/fuel.And it got worst down to 2 min. of running time.I made it to the dealer at that point.
quantum mechanic>When you say lift pump do you mean transfer pump? and what is a OPS? Sorry I'm still in the learning stage.

new supply pump would be a good place to start, verify that it is working, either listen/feel for it running when the truck is idling, or open the filter bleed. This is a common failure.

Does sound like it "limped" into the dealers. What's the milage?
The liftpump is on the inside framerail under the driver's seat. It should click click click when you turn the key. When the trucks running, open the bleed on the filter and see if you have fuel pressure or it dies.

It's got 129,000 KM's. Been to cold here to work under the truck. To long for my garage. I do hear the clicking sound when the key is turned.Should I change the pump for the amount of KM's I have? It ran fine yesturday without stalling.I'll try driving it for a week to see if it stalls and listen/feel the pump for now. Check the bleed on the filter when this weather lighten up.

Was it the coldest yet when it started actin' up on you? Wondering if your fuel gelled up on you, and in your filter. Wax in filter will really cut down on your fuel flow. Running any anti-gel in the tank?

First time it happened, it was -46C with the windchill. And had Howes diesel conditioner plus in the tank for anti-gel. Howes states on their website that they would pay for the tow if the fuel gels up.

Wonder how low they go on the thermometer to pay for dat tow job? -46°C gives me brain freeze even thinking about it. I'd think your fuel would be like pudding then.
