was wondering if anyone else is hearing what i think is excessive noise from probaly the front end. I had a 02 duramax that when it was in 4 wheel drive the front end just roared. I took it back to the dealer, they opened it up and checked it, said it was fine and then put syntheticoil in it. it did not ever get worse or better either. the dealer said it was normal. because it is a heavy duty.( my 2000 3/4 ton was as quite as can be.) the truck had 36000 miles when traded for my 2004.5 duramax. this truck is quieter but i noticed a little noise the last few days with it also, and only in 2wd. i did not try 4wd yet, it was -10 here to. also it seemed like the trans was shifting a little weird also. it was dropping into 5th quicker than normal on accelleration. I dont think there is too much wrong but was just wondering what others are experiancing. Please dont think that I run in 4wd on dry pavement, it was usually done when on ice and so forth.

Mine seems to sound the same in 4wd as 2wd.

No different sound or feel in 4WD. I have even caught myself at highway speeds in 4WD. GIT"ER FIXED. :ro)
