Is this the "limp home" mode?

I was driving home the other day and accellerated slightly when the truck started stumbling. It ran well as long as I kept it under 2K. Engine light came on.

I've never had this problem before, and I definately wasn't hot-rodding when it happened, just normal driving. It was cold out, but the truck had already been driven an hour earlier and we were 3-4 miles into our trip home when it did this.

When I got home, I shut it down and re-started, with the same problem. Then after 2 days of sitting, I tried again and the light is still on. (I haven't driven it, so not sure if the cut-off at 2K is still happening, but I imagine it is. Something is keeping that light on.)

Any ideas before I call Chevrolet?
Truck has 20,000 miles

Change your fuel filter......there is a possibility of gelling(depending on how cold) but unless it is extremely cold or your running biodiesel I would doubt that is the problem.....just check the fuel in the filter for gelling when it is off.....I would run an anti-gel like Diesel Kleen(white bottle) in the winter as a precaution.

Aftermarket device causing a issue?, i find that the majority of issues with ses lights has to do with something interfering with the oem software(that is if it has a aftermarket device) can you return to stock and retry it??

I would check your filter also.

Pull the codes; I'll bet you $3.50 you have a "Low fuel rail pressure" DTC.

I was running the stock tune when it happened. It could be the filter... I'll replace that this week (since it's getting close anyway). As for the diesel anti-gel, I'm not sure about that, since I never had an issue last year in Michigan's UP and -30 temps. When it happened this time, it was probably 25-35 degrees.

I had same problem this moarning, but I'm running b100. Anything above 2000rpm and it hesitated until I couldnt climb a hill or get up speed till it was flat or down hill. I posted a question about the same problem with bio, please PM any info you find out with yours and I'll try to help when I start working on mine.

I have the same problem with my 06 LBZ (stock), no mods. Ran it out of town for the weekend & ran great. Started snowing & blowing on the way back home, & some slush too. Went to drive it the next day, it ran great for a mile or so, then engine light came on & I couldn't get more than 25 mph & 2000 rpm out of it. Also, the trans wouldn't shift up beyond second gear. From what I've been seeing on this site, could this be a fuel filter problem? Thanks

UR Gelling, change the fuel filter, add some 911 add fuel treatment to the fuel at every fill up. 0087 It happened to me 2 weeks ago when the temp was around 11 degrees.
