That's hemorrhage not hemorrhoid. I have an '02 GMC and it is spewing -:t gobs of fuel out the back basically where the bellhousing meets the back of the motor. There's no fuel in the oil. It has 66K and has never been boosted. I've got the Gold Plus warranty as I bought it used. The dealer has come and towed it in today. I've had an ongoing problem with the water in fuel light coming on. The dealer checked it several times and replaced the filter once at 52K. The light has continued to come on periodically but hasn't caused any problems that I know of... Do I need to use Stanisol? Does that emulsifying stuff cause any problem if used on a regular basis? The GM dealer hasn't advised me to use any additives. I should add that the temp is hovering around zero degrees here in the upper midwest.

Fuel pressure sensor/junction block cracked possibly. Right side of the engine look down around where the fuel rail is you see what's called a junction block. About three fuel lines connected to it. Sensor is screwed in and has an electrical plug on it. Don't touch anything... dangerous high pressure. Have a dealer replace it if that's what it is..... fuel leaks and runs down the back of the engine.

Thanks. Hoot, that is one purty mill. It is the injector pump grenaded. There is a soft metal expansion/frost type plug blew out and it is all marred up like chunks of metal were beating the hell out of it from the inside 'till it blew out. They found rust and water in the filter so I'm getting these long looks from the service manager like it is my fault. Hell, the filter was replaced 15K miles ago after my 'water in fuel' light kept coming on. I'd had it in 3 times for that and they finally told me that it must be a problem with the sensor or something and to just ignore the light. Well... here we are. I should find out Monday what kind've a hassle it will be. With the warranty.

Sorry to hear about the fuel pump. Hope they fix it without a hassle.

Please let us know if they figure out the problem with the Water in Fuel message. I have the same problem. The message will be displayed when the block temp goes below the low fourties. Once the truck warms up, all is is fine for the rest of the day. The dealer changed out the water accumulator once and I did not see the message for about a month. Now they want to be able to recreate the message at the dealer shop so they can trace the problem. I left it with them for a couple of nights but it never got cold enough. (Life is tough out here in the desert!) Tapping the filter can with a screw driver handle causes the message to go away about a third of the time. I am suspecting a short in the filter mounting bracket. Try tapping yours to see if that helps in diagnosing the problem.

..... and I drained the filter multiple times and have yet to find a single drop of water.

They actually do........... didn't you get your special rose colored glasses when you picked up your truck? Mine were zip tied to the trailer wiring harness in the glove box ):h When you put them on, you see the engine as it is pictured above.
