Ok I have a dump question, My 05 Ford idles up when it cold in the mornings to about 1500 RPM's but on the same morning (temps in single digits) my duramax just idles at 700 RPM's. Is there any way I can get it to idle up with out buying the high idle kit?? Or is it something that I am doing wrong??

In you on board computer you need to turn on your high idle when cold is in the bottom right button on your stering wheel, same place you chnge when your doors lock/unlock

I you do not have a DIC, I beleive it's: turn on "do not start" depress accel pedal (don't remember) times in 15 sec. Message should flash on the message center "high Idle enabled". If it's not in you manual, search here for "high idle".

Same sequence disables it.. guess I'll have to look it up again in the spring.

I turned mine on the other day (I don't have the DIC either) and it works fine. The process to turn it on is:

1. Turn ignition key to "run" with the engine off
2. Press accelerator to floor and hold it there
3. Tap the brake pedal three times within 8 seconds.

Your DIC will then display "ELEVATED IDLE ON"
