I came back to check your post and no replys.
I have had the same problems here. I guess no one tows much with the new LMM.I think there scared.
I just put on my stealth 2 on my LMM.
I have towed my 40 ft 5th and pulls strong with lift and tires (NO RE GEAR YET) no programmer.
Im going to wait to get my gauges hooked up before pulling with a tune.
My old truck(03) would want to go above 1350 EGT.
Im Guessing but 50 hp tune should be OK.

I towed with the 50 and 70 HP tunes without problems. EGTs went as high as 1,375 and that's about as high as they went. This was after removal of the DPF.

Rv Guy.
Do you like it better than your edge?
Did you get your gauge pod for the new lmm? How did it fit?
Got any sneek pics of your setup?

There's been a change of plans here. I decided to not go with A-pillar gauges. I was told the A-pillar pods for the LMM were available, then told they would not be in until after the first of the year, so I canceled that order.

Then, Edge released the Insight. So, I'm giving that a try. I believe the Juice and Stealth2 compares closely to each other. Main reason I have the Stealth is for DPF code delete.

Thanks for asking.

I was wondering one thing do these trucks have a problem stock with towing ? My neighbor has one and all he does is brag about how much and how fast he can tow .What are the reasons to need a modification ? Not trying to be a smartass just concerned because I am wanting a new truck soon.

I tow about 15,000lbs almost daily. I love how the truck towed stock. Coming from Fords, you can't really compare the two. I am waiting for my gauges before I tow too much with a tuner. I am mainly doing the mods to my truck for mileage improvments.

I've asked several questions about programmers and towing and never get a response. I tow daily and tow heavy and was looking into a programmer and exhaust for towing but after looking at it going that route has too many hang ups. I've decided on a snow stage 3 water/meth injection kit. It seems to be by far the best thing for towing. It's controller has EGT gauges, boost gauge, drops your EGT's 200-300 degrees, adds power of a programmer, and does it cheeper. Windshield washer fluid is under a $1 gallon while fuel is $3.50.

There's no NEED for it. It is all in what you use the truck for.

My mods are for efficiency. I want the truck as efficient as it can be. Adding a tuner and opening up the intake and exhaust instantly improved mileage. Plus, there is so much "unused" power and efficiency in these motors, I don't see any reason why I should pay $45K for a truck and not have its full potential.

TOWING:
I have towed with the Stealth 50hp tune loaded. Worked great. Don't have an EGT yet. It was only a '69 Camaro on an aluminum car trailer. I doubt EGT got real high.

That makes good sense to me and would be a good argument ( I mean discussion ) , for me with the wife on why I need this type of upgrade (efficiency )!! Thank's

Your suite is heavier than mine probably by about 3000 lbs.( mine is 17000). What kind of mileage are you getting? Hand calculated.

Ponch,

Actually our rigs are very close to the same weight. My Gross is 17,500 and I figure I'm right around !6,500 to 17,000 with all tanks empty, which is how I tow unless going to the races. I need to take it to the CAT Scales.

I towed the rig over Thanksgiving weekend. It was only a three hour trip, one-way. I hand calculated 10 mpg. The truck only had 5k miles on it.

I towed in the 50 hp setting on the Stealth2 and had the Edge in stock position....using it merely for boost and EGT readings.

THanks Jim.
I thought your's was an elite instead of a MS.
I have a CK and weight 16875 actually. With a gross of 18000.
If you run into Stripit (Stacey Frank) have him weigh it it will be closer than a truck scale. He weighs each wheel.
