hey guys, I was wondering if i need a new torque convertor when i rebuild my tranny. I wanted to save a little money by not getting one but if i need it that bad i will get it. And do i need all/or what all cluch plates do i need. I know i need c1-c4 but what about c5.

Yeah youll need a new converter to get the full benefits. I think a stock converter will only handle 850# or so anyways. Youd probably be better off just getting like a suncoast kit that comes with everything needed to do it right also

X2, also with a turbo upgrade I would for sure get a tc.

mike l said in one post that c 5's almost never get replaced, and wouldn't even worry about them at 1000 h.p.
