What is with this cold front? The fit is terrible. The bottom does not stay in place. Anyone been able to fix this?

I think it was designed to be used with the bumper cover also. I prefer to use just the grill cover and the bottom comes out on mine also. When it warms up here in the spring I am going to look at ways to solve that. Too cold out for this old man to play outside.

On the bottom row of the winter cover,I bent the tabs in the opposite direction that the instructions tell you to...Although my truck is a 2007 classic ,I have the same problem as you...Bending the tabs the opposite seems to work.

I cut the bottom half off the winter cover so it now justs covers the grill. My "03" had a two piece winter cover. I never used the bumper cover on it, so I figured I really didn't need the bottom half that covers the bumper on the "08."

I've actually never used the cover on this or my '05. The coolent temp usually gets up to 181 in a few miles if I let it warm up outside. The '07 sits in a heated garage so it's toasty when I get in. I've seen some people put cardboard behind the grill. It doesn't damage the outside of the truck and helps keep the heat in.

No thanks I'll just take your word for it. Rather go fishing with some sun block on.

Anybody noticed a change in mpg using the cover? I used the one on my 04 lb7, but didn't see any mpg difference. And it would throw codes if it was above 30 out with it on, so it was on and off a lot...a pain ! But I have a friend with a 06 lly and he will drop 2-3 mpg in the winter if he doesn't use his. So, I'm wondering how the LMM will act with the cover on.

I've had mine on for about 3 weeks now, temps above 30 and of course, below.......no probs, no codes, no cels, don't care about the mpg's because it's better for the motor startup and keeps the cabin much warmer...........we're only talking about 3 months or so here, maybe 4..........just using the top grille cover only, no problem getting it on, yes it's fit along the bottom where it meets the valance is funky, but, I just don't really care..................
