<DIV align=center> </DIV>
I'll have a standard and lp maybe by the weekend.
PEANUTGRWR 11-12-2003, 11:10 PM MAC, HOW MUCH GAIN HAVE YOU SAW WITH LP?
Mackin 11-13-2003, 06:16 AM Not much last time, could be empty tank syndrom .....
Dave gained a full 50 horse on top of the Quad/Comp stack .... Prolly in the 50 to 70 HP range if your lucky ....I can't imagine you would gain over 70 HP stacked .... I put down a best 422 Hot OJ/ Propane pre any tranny mods,if it makes a difference ....
Mac Edited by: Mackin
BIG DIPPER 11-13-2003, 06:53 AM I thought Dave only gained 30hp and 70 ft/lbs.......
sdaver 11-13-2003, 07:02 AM socaldmax made 401 with 90 horse juice and propane and can limp his tranny at will.......dave
Dave only gained 30 because when you stack, you don't get the full increase. All that extra fuel chokes it. When you add lp, you choke it more.
Lp alone is good for 70-80 hp.
Now shoot in a little NOS and now you're talking. Adds oxygen.Edited by: hoot

Not near as much as you think we are running.
Hope its fast they have had plenty of time. You will get an update from me when I am convinced there is really more there with a stock turbo. That is a long and in depth conversation on its own so I won't get into it here. Some new tunes are coming, but they address more than a power issue. I don't think we are lacking in that area just yet. I am working really hard to get this new turbo kit done. I really believe that the 215 tuner will be considerably stronger with a turbo than it is now. I am not in a rush to hurry up ans spit some new tunes out. We have gathered a lot of info on what people are asking for and what people think we need to change, and we are trying to make something EVERYONE will be happy with.
Yes when we release them we will make it available to anyone who wants it.
WE also have some very cool new stuff we are working on that will make a lot of people happy, but I can't let the cat all the way out of the bag.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif
Expect to see new lower hp tunes, and a replacement turbo kit from us next, then we will finish the other projects.
Did I mention we are going to release a N20 kit from Nitrous Express pretty soon?
Geez I am going to have to get a bigger plate!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
SmokinMax 11-17-2003, 12:36 PM id like to here more on the n20 kit .......how bout water meth quad......?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
Micheal Tomac 11-17-2003, 02:28 PM "how bout water meth quad......?"
there go the cats, who left the bag open
Quadzilla 11-17-2003, 03:20 PM Water meth was worth 16hp and 12 ft lbs of torque on a dyno.
I think in the future it may have a place, but right now we have way too much fuel and not enough air. Meth has the same basic properties and burn properties of propane, with a higher octane. It does not detonate as easy so you could run slightly more meth than propane, but still not enough air is the problem.
Tomac,
If you think anyone besides me and my crew know how we make the power we do you are crazy. I guess there is no cat? or even a bag?
Why don't you come to TX on the 7th, you need to be humbled.
Dennis Perry 11-17-2003, 08:52 PM Quad,
I talked with Eric McBride today and have it arranged for you to contact and join the DHRA and become a sponsor. Give him a call he is waiting. So with this matter all cleared up are you going to come racing now????http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif See you at the track.
Dennis
Quadzilla 11-17-2003, 09:53 PM I spoke with him as well.
Not sure I am going to be a sponsor, but we are going to come to race.
Whether or not I run for the record depends on if we get the 6pt Rollbar in. Still not sure why I need it and you don't? I am going to try and get the bar in, if not we can be there for fun and just run a little slower, but still have fun. I think 12.00 is where we have to cut it off?
I guess if you don't make it we can still run 12.00 and still get the record?
We will see what happens? If I could have gotten answer a while back when I started digging we might could have been done already.
I appreciate the good word you put in, if you did.
Micheal Tomac 11-18-2003, 12:10 AM Quad
Sometimes you read into things a little too much.
I have an indoor tractor pull in MS that weekend. I don't have a rollbar and front DS loop anyway.
Good luck at the TX race. You should be able to get one 11 sec timeslip before they throw you out.
Dmax Tim 11-18-2003, 05:14 AM You should be able to get one 11 sec timeslip before they throw you out.
Why stop at 11 seconds go straight to the 10's.
Your correct that u could let one fly, in the faster classes u have to use the chute over 150mph so I could get by and not have to pack the chute 1 time/race.
Good luck to all.
