I'm putting a GM-3 turbo on the ole blazer. i've got a few questions. the passenger side 6.5 manifold slightly touches both the #4 and # 6 injectors even though they are short injectors. is this a problem? or will it be ok? one other question- is the return oil pressurized at all? rather than getting an electric fuel pump i ran the drain into the valvecovers, and the return line is nearly flat. will this hurt anything? i am just fabbing up a down pipe, and it will be done, but this thing has been quite the project, even the smallest things were a hassle, i just hope its worth the time and effort???
heres a pic before going in for turbo surgery!

hi zrider-
The oil-return-line from turbo has to be with no restrictions/blocks at all, or the oil will make its way through the turbo-shaft-seal into your intake...
Excessive blue-smoke will occur!
An engine -runaway may follow...
Go for an electric fuel-pump and force the oil-return-line from Turbo into place where your mechanical fuel-pump was before...

sonne- thats the plan, but i'm not sure when i'll get to it, would this setup get me by for awhile? i already have the plate to replace the mechanical fuel pump.
the wheels are from a dodge mega-cab, got em with nearly new 35x12.5x17 bfg mudders for 400. I got the truck for 800 (bad tranny, but the truck only has 105k) got a rebuilt tranny for 600. 3/4 ton axles 4.10 gears, rear locker, and 7" lift (for free) i'm into it about 2700$, on top of that i've only driven the thing about 2 miles since i bought it.

I had a 1/3 restriction in the oil-return line and the engine was blowing as blue as the sea...
Finally solved that restriction (still blowing blue at start and when it gets to temperature)
Remember- it was a new revided block with new pistons-
And today it only blows blue at start!
When your turbo-shaft seal is gone, the oil has full access to your intake, revving engine up like there will be no tomorrow :)

pls spend that 40$ for an electrical fuel-pump, or you will never getting happy again;)

ok, i'm in the process of doing it right and it should be running this weekend. i plan on running no more than 9 pounds of boost, will 1/4 turn on the IP be enough? i guess thats where i'll start, and adjust from there. thanks for the help guys!
