Looking around on the web I found this intake kit and wanted to know if anyone hsa had experience with them? Since the area of the filter is larger then stock then I thought that there might be a drop in intake vacuum which would help feed the engine air a little easier? The filter is made by Donaldson.

It is on page 17 of their catalog.
Here is the link www.pacificp.com (http://www.pacificp.com/)

On a side note it was -35 C here last night and my Dmax had no problem starting at all. Good truck. The power locks didn't seem to want to coopperate very well though...

I think there is another thread on here you need to read about PPE... Find that thread and I think that will make up your mind whether you want to deal with them or not...

If you are looking at intake systems you might want to consider AFE......

GMC2500HD is telling the truth. search this site.
They seem to cater to the less knowladgable people. I have never bought anything from them
I am one that likes to research things out before buying but I too was interested in them, before I read the posts here, because of their overwelming hp quotes.

From the looks of it, that must be the UMP Super Filter that Blueox03 has been running for some time now. Personally, I'm still running a Uni in a modified OE box. Best silicon levels in my oil analysis from this setup...

It's -6°F here right now. Boiler runs double time trying to keep up with both shops...

Kennedy had it right, that's actually the UMP super filter. If you plan on buying one, I recommend you by-pass the clowns and call Cliff at UMP direct. I've been running #2 of 2 prototypes for over 30K and the filter is just now starting to look used, I really like this unit. *Note: the following is stated as an opinion and an opinion only* If you plan to keep your truck till the wheels fall off, I recommend running the paper AC delco brand filter or the UMP Super filter with Donaldson element. If you trade up every few years, run the aFe stage II, it's the sweetest of the gauze filters...

One more thought for ya southern boys ... I run BF Goodrich All Terrains and when you first pull out of the drrive way at these temps you can feel the flat spot on the tire where it was parked for about the first 200 yards ... thud thud thud. I wish I lived in a place as warm as California.

Thats where it is. We want our weather back. 100 mph winds and 50 deg f.temps. This sucks. Makes the side roads like an ice rink.
