I am having trouble finding "Stock" drag race times/mph.

When I say stock I mean completly stock, no chip no nothing.

What should a Duramax, cummins, Powerstroke get in a 1/4 mile?

Thanks

I can only answer for my truck, but when it was stock the fastest I ever ran was 15.7 @ around 80 mph. That's an 06 LLY. I did see a stock LBZ at the track (still had the paper plates on it even) run a 15.1, but I don't remember the trap speed.

That seems fast for some reason, I seen a chipped one go slower then that

My LBZ ran 15.3 @87mph all stock at 5000' elevation. I have heard of some LBZ's running high 14's stock @ sealevel. My 05 LLY ran 15.9@83MPH stock. A good running 6.7L cummins will give a LBZ a good run stock vs stock. I have still beat all the ones I raced though. Got beat by one before the PPE. He wasn't stock though he was running a bullydog so I don't count that one.:D

The times. I have raced one before in my ranger 4.0 and beat him totaly stock. I can't see my little ranger running 15s.;)

Well, maybe you have a super fast ranger or the guy didn't know how to drive. I've got timeslips to back up my times. As for the 15.1, I can't say for sure whether or not it was stock, but he said it was and it had less than 500 miles on it so I don't doubt him.

I can't see my little ranger running 15s.;)For a diesel to run good it has to be fully warmed up, at a dead stop spooled up in 4WD. When cold most have no power. When not spooled up they will have a couple seconds of lag, which could make up for a truck lengh or two. A stock reg cab 4.0 stranger could beat a stock crew cab lb7 or pre 06LLY with a clown behind the wheel, But a LBZ should wax its ass.):h

Okay, I searched and found an old thread where I posted proof (or as much proof as I can get anyway) of my truck running 15s. I thought I remembered running three times when I was stock, but I couldn't find any posts here with the 15.7 time and all my timeslips are packed away right now. Anyway here's the only proof I have: http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49323

It's on the second page.

my truck ran a 14.7@89 completely stock. i did have the torsion bars lowered down and did a 4hi launch. but no actual mods.

My best time with my truck with the t-bars lowered and in 4wd was 15.38 and that was with a full tank of fuel! I bet if I used a half a tank of fuel, took the tailgate and spare tire off I could get close to 15.0.

I guess if they spooled up in 4wd I can belive it. He never spooled at the start.

15.4@85....1.9 60ft time..yea 4wd! New Powerstrokes are about 16.0...they defuel horribly between shifts.

Mine`s a 2wd cc/lb and just can`t launch like the 4wd can. The most rpm I could use without getting wheel hop or simply buring the tire off was 1300.
Even so I managed 15.59@86and some change this year. Hit 87 once but the et was slower. Had fun at the 4 Midwest street diesel events I attended and met some great diesel gear heads from this region.

Has anyone run a LMM stock? Oh and I am 2WD, will that make me faster or slower? Thanks.

LMM's should run about what LBZ's do. Yes 2wd will make you slower because it will be difficult to launch hard with no wheel spin. (im not saying its impossible for a 2wd to go fast, im just saying its a lot easier to make a 4wd fast)

The LBZ's/LMM's as far as accelleration and speed are no joke, even stock.

IIRC someone (McRat?) posted stock times of an 06 LLY and LBZ. The LLY was mid-high 15's and the LBZ was mid-low 15's.

I ran my stock CC/SB 4x4 LBZ at the track a few months back and the quickest I ran was a 16.0. That was in 2wd with a non-boosted launch.......plus it was my first time to ever set foot on a drag strip. The only thing that might have slowed me down was my tires...I went up to a 295 from the stock 245.
