when i use the remote start the truck will start then die and then right when the remote says the truck has started it restarts itself and stays running....any ideas? and it makes a knock like sound when it first starts in the mornings with remote start...maybe not waiting for glow plugs...but i have that wire hooked up? again any ideas are greatly appreciated, thanks

Maybe it's seeing the tach signal too early and quits cranking. Try reprogramming the tach wire.

i reprogrammed the whole thing to make sure everything was how i wanted it and i never did the tach learn correctly before so it was never working...now all is great...John you are a remote start GENIUS! thanks so much!

hahahaha glad you got it fixed bro!! The tach wire programmed correctly tells the remote start that the truck is running, quit cranking, and if it doesn't start it won't sit there with all the accesories on and run the battery down.

its weird cause it was intermittent problem...i never had the tach learned... i think i programmed alot wrong lol but now it is all correct and works great haha thanks again!

oh, and i bought a good digital volt meter....just incase:) haha
