I cleaned out my tool boxes and put all the sockets and wrenches I had more than a few of and put them all in one box. Mostly junky stuff I didn't think I'd ever use but a few good sockets. I took the box to work and told my co-worker to take it home and if he was needing any sizes to go ahead and take them and if he had 3 or 4 of anything to just toss it in the box. Well he took it and then to his neibor and then I got it back. When it came back well I'll be darn it had stuff in it that I needed! I did this over and over and it really helped some out but evertime I got the box back I would go thru it and pick out the craftsman and SK type stuff and upgrade my stuff. I wound up with a fair amount of upgraded stuff and was pleased to see that over time most of my original stuff was purged thru the system. Most folks are more than honest when you hand them a stuffed tool box and say take what you need and if you happen to have extra of anything then add it to the box. Somtimes it would come back light and somtimes it would come back heavy but evertime I got it back I found a tool or two that I needed or that were better than mine plus I got all kinds of thanks for helping sombody replace a lost socket or somthing.

I'm in the same boat right now, got a big box and some socket racks to hold all the loose stuff. now got a box full of left overs, who'd have guessed I had 8 3/4" sockets in 1/2" drive. I've also been picking up the craftsman sets in the plastic boxes, keep them organized and easy to make sure everything is put away when done. I bet I've got 25 7/16" wrenches, do they breed or what?

Funny, screwdrivers never multiply. They apparently disappear into the ether.
