I have seen a few posts here and there of guys making there own intake using the stock air box with 4" pvc tubing. The few posts I saw were on lb7 trucks, I have an 05 LLY, there is a difference, Right?

I would like to see if anyone has made a homemade intake for their LLY truck????

How does it work??
Any better performance or mileage??
Did you connect the pvc 45s with regular PVC cement??

First, the cia isn't pvc, but ABS. And yup, I used abs glue to connect it.

You prolly won't feel much difference in power if any, but more cool air coming into the motor, is always a good thang.
