I have an 2007 LMM with 7-9" Cognito lift and 35" Toyo MT. I dont know anything about any programmers but have heard you can tear up your truck so I want to be careful.
Needs:
1. Get rid of ABS and trailer brake codes that came on after lift. (I guess this is do to the big tires). Hopefully I can reprogram tire size and fix this.
2. Get rid of low tire pressure codes.
3. Fix the speedometer.
4. Best possible fuel mileage.
5. Performance

Dealers won't do it. I want a programmer anyway. Are there any clear cut favorites or are they all about the same.

gcadby1, you will have to call around to find a dealer to change the TPMS. It took some time and persuading to get the dealer who I purchased my truck from to reprogram for lower tire pressure. It was free but cost me time and effort to convince them to change it. Just be persistent. The tire size is not accessible from the OBDII port using the Tech 2. They have to use the remote door module for the tire size or at least that is what the service manager said. I was with him while he was trying to find the tire size with the tech 2 and was unable to locate it. To bypass the "law" as the dealership likes to quote I had to press the select button on the Tech 2 for the tire pressure change.

As far as the best programer for your needs, I went with EFI live with programing from Nick at duramaxtuner.com. I told him my set up (07.5 HD with 11 inch CST lift running 38's) he designed a tune for better performance and to regain some of my gas mileage back without destroying my trany. Check out his site and give him a call he is very helpful.

12 to 14 highway depends on what speed I drive. I am getting ready to remove the DPF and install new tune so I hope it will get better.
