I see claims of 50-70 hp from adding a second fuel feed line from the Cp3...does it work?

Industrial Injection is the one claiming the gains.

Good, question, i'd like to know too.

I don't see any way for this line to add 50-70 hp to the max hp output. I'm sure during the recovery (during shifting?) time is where there coming up with this fiqure.

I doubt it. The CP3 can only flow what it flows now. If you look inside of it you will notice that the holes are only about a 1/16" and the line is 1/2". I don't think you are going to flow that much more with an 1" of fuel line.

Only advantage I can see is the extra volume that it HOLDS, not flows. Only way I can see that being a benifit is to help hold rail psi. It would be like adding a bigger fuel rail. Now, how much more volume of fuel will it hold and will it make a difference on the track and/or on the dyno....??????still a little leary... someone needs to guinea pig this one...

The volume behind the CP3 doesn't make a difference, it still can only move so much fuel and once you have a lift pump in line you have positive displacement there.

i think that since it is a bigger supply line, it flows much better and it is harder for the rails do drain out when its being supplied with more fuel, and is able to keep a high rail pressure longer during aggressive fueling, but people with a modded cp3 of dual cp3 will benefit more from this. or if you have a lift pump a very demanding tune

Have you ever taken a CP3 apart???

Whoa, I'm a moron. I see What they mean by "feed" as in cp3 feed. I have never looked at the IJ dual feed line until this morning. Once I saw a braided line shit made sense. I was thinking along the lines of rail feed. my bad.
But looking at the fca and the rest of the pump it seems that the pump is still going to flow only x amount of fuel, due to limitations starting with the fca I would think.....regardless of how much fuel you can get there. I can see its benifit on a modified pump that is built to flow more. Maybe Im wrong ????? I wish we could just get one and dyno it back to back, or log rp back to back. Im broke or I would do it.

basicly ties both rails/logs together with a bigger hose to drop recovery time makes sense

The Dual Feed Fuel Line by Industrial Injection increases fuel volume to the common rail fuel system. Industrial Injection’s Dual Feed Lineis a flexible auxiliary fuel line that routs from the CP3 injection pump to the common rail. You can expect a 50hp to 70hp increase and will cut rail pressure recovery time in half. This product will work with the Duramax high pressure fuel systems and it’s a perfect addition to theModified CP3fuel injection pump.

Its not braided line.

Its not 1/2" line
The ID of that line is the same as the OEM pipes, about .110"

I have one here for a customer truck, but no idea how much it will help
