Got my new 2500HD D/A a few weeks ago. I was under it today and noticed one of the large 15mm bolts that bolts the trans to the engine was about to fall out. This on top of the big squeak in the dash and the scratch door panel make me think the quality is still a big issue at GM.

This is not just a GM issue but an issue faced by all car companys. Someone is not doing their job on the line, whether it be assembly or inspection. I see a lot of cars and trucks in my shop, some have loose bolts, missing bolts, or cross threaded holes where the bolt was forced in at the wrong angle. It's sad.

Why not take the truck back....ITS CALLED A WARRANTY... I don't mean to be rude, but hey...its a product made and handled by man...and because this is fact, there will be some with problems. That's where the warranty comes in. I know its aggravating to pay BIG money for something, and then it is not perfect. Such is life. Do we strive(should we strive) to put out better products ? Sure, but there will always be mistakes, minor imperfections, and lemons. Take your truck back to the dealer, show him the problems, and have them fix em. Good luck with it !

There is a joke in flint about trucks being built on friday...... But it sounds like your living it.... sorry man.... Use the warrenty.... Plus your dealership should have done a pre sale inspection.... I would be all over your salesman and service department on fixing this stuff.... that you should have never seen.
