I would normally never post anything bad about someone including a vendor but thought I might give some heads up to ensure no one else gets bit like I and other have from these guys. The name if truckaddons.com and caraddons.com whose parent company is TrailBlazers of Lexington, KY.

I ordered brush guards & a roll bar for my wife's truck for Christmas back on December 6th and received only 1/2 the order on December 15th. They won't return my calls concerning the other 1/2 of the order and won't respond to emails. When I emailed their returns department to return the stuff (unopened, new, still in the manufacturers box) at my expense so as to get a refund, I've heard nothing. I've called numerous times and have spoke with three people there who were rude and informed me it was a Returns Department issue and they'll be in contact. As of today, no response from them at all.

To read about other experiences with these folks, click here http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9148&st=0

Please don't take just my word for it but do a little investigation before you purchase from these folks. I don't want any revenge as my credit card company is coverning me in the event these Bozos don't get back with me, but do want to save anyone else from the headache these folks so amply supply. At the same time, if you've had a good experience with these folks, I'd love to hear about it.

I have purchased from truckaddons before without a problem. Maybe they are just having issues right now.

Thanks for the reply Hoot...I know you're a regular here and respect your opinion 100%...and it makes me feel better to finally find someone out there who has had a positive experience with them. I do hope it's a phase and they get over it...soon.

Good to hear you contacted your credit card company. I always notify mine in situations like this and they usually issue a chargeback and let the vendor handle their side of the story. I don't do this unless absolutely necessary but I would have done it by now in your situation as well. It always gets the vendors attention very quickly because they are the ones that now need it back since it is unpaid material, plus they get hit with a huge chargeback fee from the card company (usually $50). The thing to remember is the credit card company is ALWAYS on the consumer's side.

I've visited truckaddons.com a couple times, but never purchased from them...

Sorry to hear about the bad service. But We do live in Alaska. You know the other country. And I have ordered lots of things that have taken a while to get here. Maybe some of the items are out of stock due to the holidays or the other parts are larger and take a little bit more time to get here. Good luck and maybe it is still in transit and will be on your door step soon.
If it does show you may call your credit card company and let them know.
If it does not show up before the years end let us know as to question there service ability.

Guess I got lucky. I bought a Hypertech programmer from them, and got a great price of $299 shipped to my door. It arrived in about 4 days with nary a problem. BTW I called in the order using the number on the web site and they seemed friendly and helpful. I also promptly got a confirmation of my order by e-mail. I may have to think twice about using them again after reading about other peoples experiences.

Any recommendations other vendors? I've used truckperformance.com a couple of times, but encountered slow delivery times, but otherwise good service. I need to order rotors and pads for the wifes SUV and possibly a Fold a Cover for the truck. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Well, I'm pleased to announce that the local trucking company just dropped off the other 1/2 of the shipment. I was told truckaddons.com would ship (and charge me) for Fedex Ground to Alaska...I agreed as it was expensive but still would get it here in plenty of time for Christmas. They sent 1/2 of the order Fedex Ground and the other 1/2 via truck/ship over the water. I can't say that I'm happy with their service or their honesty concerning the shipping I paid for (Fedex Ground 5 day versus truck/ship 10 day) but at least I got the merchandise.

I live like 30 min from Lexington where the main store is. Actually thinking about getting a job there this coming summer. Truth to be told there are a lot of a$$holes that work there, but there are also some very nice and helpful people there too. I have been in there several times and have learned who to call or who to look for once i get in there. So if i start working there in may you all can call me direct and i can make sure everyone who on here gets what they need. hopefully i can push the market of diesel performance accessories they carry. anyway im out

Wish I would have read this thread a little earlyer. I just ordered a Fold a cover from them on Sunday night. In the comment section I asked them to call me before placing the order because I had some questions. Got a call at the exact time I asked them to call. They answered my questions and had them place the order. Was told it will be here within 3-5 days. Gawd I hope I don't get the shaft. I'll keep ya posted on this order!! Wish me luck!! LOL

WEll they are a crappy place. I live close as well and have a friend that works there. If you call ask for Rob or Matt. The owner Barry sits in his office all day, and is not the best to work with. I hate doing busisness there, so I go to smaller places and get treated way better.

Well, I wish you all the best of luck. I've tried returning the "crap" I received from them and nobody will return my call. I've emailed them and recieved a note back that they are "working on it".

I called my Mastercard company and have completed the forms, thus they have taken the charge off my account and I'm sure the SOB's will contact me once they see the chargeback.

Bottom line, NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS AS THEY"RE MORE HEADACHE THAN THEY'RE WORTH!

I hate bad customer service and ALWAYS post it here if someone treats me poorly.

Well if the Card company is working with you on this problem, just hold on to the stuff and let them spend the time and money to contact you and get it back.

And if they take too long charge them storage fees.

Thanks for taking the time to make this post; I think you're providing a valuable service. I don't think it's good to bash someone without justification, but I'm on this Forum to hear about the good, the bad, and the ugly. When it comes to buying things on the Internet, I take the opinions of other consumers very seriously. Unless you have questions that take a phone call, I expect that an order should be filled to the specifications in the order and if that can't be done you should be given an explanation. There are too many good companies out there to roll the dice with a company that appears to have a 50/50 approval rating according to this thread. I deal with a lot of the vendors on this site and can't believe the great service and reasonable prices they provide. The lowest price doesn't seem very important when you go through an experience like you've had and it isn't even over yet. I wish there was even more Forum feedback like this available to include ratings of vendors, dealers, diesel techs, Allison dealers/techs, Internet companies, etc. For those of us out on the road, it would be nice to know where we should go or not go. Knowledge is power, this Forum is powerful, and the consumer can be powerful, especially, when the President or owner of a company finds out how it stacks up.

I purchased my side bars and bed rug from them and I got good service, everything was at my door with in 5 days. I did try to order a waag frontrunner bar from them before XMas and I didn't like the charge ($50.00) they wanted for shipping plus the regular fee. When all shipping fees were added up it came to the same price as my local place.

I purchased my JJ steps from them ~6 months ago and had good service... I didn't have a lot of confirmation or shipping information available (couldn't get it from the service rep), but my order was fulfilled.
Just my experience...Obviously others will vary.

I bought from them 3 times most recently was my M15000 Warn Winch. I had it in 5 days. Easily best price.

Now...I will say this, I wish they would e-mail you to let you know it shipped and gave you a tracking number. Once you order you are just waiting for the product to arrive. Calling in is futile as you get a recorded message and they tell you to wait for 7 days before you request tracking number.

Just wanted to give an update on my Fold a Cover. I ordered it on Monday and the thing arrived Thursday at 3:00 pm. I was totally shocked. I didn't expect it here till next week. I have to say that this thread did have me a little worried but I have to give Truckaddons THUMBS up on this order. I do agree though with some of the other guys here, If one costumer had a bad experience then thats too many!! I will probably give them another shot until they do me wrong. Lets hope they see this thread and try to make some changes on their part!!

Well, since receiving the merchandise in December, I've tried numerous times to return the unopened, undamaged goods to these idiots and they won't return my calls or emails. I contacted my credit card to dispute the charges and they are sticking with me...but these fools have managed to contact the card company and say that I have to return the merchandise to them first before a credit will be given...well, duh!

The scam with these guys is you HAVE to have an RGA number from them or they will refuse the delivery when you send it to them. The rub is they never contact you with the RGA number....I've tried contacting these fools since December on a daily basis and they have yet to return my call or emails other than one email that stated "Returns will get back with you shortly" and then nothing. Don't be fooled by these scammers as they're all over various automotive forums with tales of horror associated with purchases from them. They seem to have about a 20% satisfactory rating in that 2 out of 10 orders will results in a happy customer but the other 8 are screwed. Great bunch of jerks to deal with...if one could get them to you back!

Bottom line, don't get hosed by these guys...there are better, more reputable dealers to purchase from (especially on this site), than the low lifes at truckaddons.com.<!--IBF.ATTACHMENT_292803-->
