as i was going over my ground wires again to make sure they were tight i noticed another set of ground wires coming from the wiring harness under the hood. these two wires are orange-ish and black and ground to the spot where the trans dipstick ground strap attaches. the connection is very crappy looking and probably not a good ground at all. the ground strap looks no better but it is in one piece and attached to the frame. can i just take all of these auxillary ground wires and crimp them into a terminal and run one wire directly to the negative battery terminal so i can stop this ridiculous no start when freezing cold issue?

the only orange wires i know of that run on that side of the motor are the glow plug wires.......

i'm not exactly sure of the color but i'll get a picture of it. i noticed that if i connect a jumper cable to that stud where those are attached to the neg bat terminal it seems to start up fine. also i wiggled the wires on what i think is the OPS(in front of the fuel filter and down under the intake area?) and it fired right up. i think i've got some corrosion in the wires and a little movement makes them work again. i have no idea wtf is goin on. i noticed that i get no lift pump when i get no WTS or STS lights. could i have a bad OPS as i know that controls the lift pump. if anyone can give me a wiring diagram for a 96 6.5 engine bay that would be very helpful. i need to know what those 4 aux grounds connect to. two of them are grounded to the neg terminal via a crossover cable to the neg battery terminal lug on the passenger side. the other two seem to ground thru a really dirty factory ground strap to the frame. if anyone can help i'd really appreciate it. i'm tired of my investment just sitting in my driveway. thank you all.
