Hi All,
Noticed that the truck was blowing a little smoke on the way in to work today while accelerating. It was noticeable because of the the headlights behind me. I thought it might be because of the cold (0 F) this morning, but I am not sure. It is an 03 CC with 35000 miles. No other inidications of any problems. Is this something I should be concerned with? Thanks.

its normal when it's cold. Looks like it's a steam vent when you're driving at -38... but then again, it's hard to see when the windows are icing over... on the inside.

My '05 LLY does the same thing. I made mention of it in this thread HERE. (http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?p=439855&posted=1#post439855)

My 2002 w/45K does the same thing and always has. It's worse during the 1st cold start in the AM when it's below 30 outside. It does seem to go away after a short drive. My GM mechanic said it's nothing to worry about, and others I've talked to said the same.

It is normal. My 03 has 31k on it. It does the blue/white smoke until it gets warmed up and can burn the fuel completely. Mine even does this until it hits about 120 (coolant) degrees when its that cold out. (It was 1 here too, some arctic cold front)
