Still playing around here. It seems like just when I started tweaking to see if I could affect fuel economy it turned cold. The winter (and associated fuel) never seem to do good things for mpg so I can't figure out if what I'm doing is having much affect. :(

I know the feeling man. Winter fuel really sucks. I am lucky that there is a place here that still sells #2 & #1. As long as it is over 0 & I am at home so I can park in the garage. I buy the summer stuff. I can not wait till spring then a guy can really do some true testing.

I just started playing with my HPTuner. I downloaded all they had on the HPTuner library.

I basicly copied all the tables that were different than my stock tune from each and downloaded them to try them out.

As for milage I ended up with a best of 19.6 (hand calc), which is great compared to my normal of 16 to 17. This was all highway driving heading from Phoenix area to East of Durango CO and back.

I am still learning and have a long way to go! But this is encouraging to me.

Sounds like you are doing pretty good. Do you have any idea what the hp/tq is in your tunes?

At this point I have no clue.

The person that posted them in the library gave some indication, but who knows how close they were.

The tunes claim 420 and 431 HP for the hotter tunes.

Have any of you guys had any problems with hp not posting tunes you upload on there site ? I know they have to be aproved, but I posted my race tune on the hp site the same one I posted on the tune page here, and it still is not up there yet, it is a great tune if your truck can run it super fast( maybe 450-500 hp) and still drivable enough to drive everyday other than mpg I worked on that tune for like 2 weeks dialing it in ?

It does take some time for them to approve the tune. That is their way of protecting people from bad tunes. Some people might post tunes to do damage on purpose. I know it is still each persons responsiblity for the tune they download, but unofficially hptuners likes to look at each tune & make sure it is okay. I believe they only have one guy that looks at all the tunes that are uploaded. I personally really like that they look at the tunes even though it does take time.

AWO,
I was asking about "your tune" not GoGo tunes. I would not doubt him. He is one heck of a guy for sharing his tunes with you.

Was not trying to doubt him, I don't know him and I had no idea whos tunes those were.

I agree that any sharing is a great thing at this point there needs to be more of it to get people up to speed on tuning with HP tuners.
