This really isn't a diesel issue, but I think this is the only audience of older body style trucks.

I broke the shaft on the driver's side wiper arm. I am left with the small splined nub still left in the arm.

Anyone ever replaced one of these before? Any short-cuts or pointers?

Thanks

For the record, $40 part from the dealer, 10 & 11mm sockets, phillips screwdriver and about 30 minutes time. The arms have a slide lever retainer that when slid aside, the arm pulls off (no tools). The black plastic valence comes off, and it is all done from on top.

Hm, how did you manage to brake the wiper arm?
