I thought I had the issue solved, apparently not.... Last friday when we were moving up here to richmond from georgia I had a few issues.... I was pulling a 6x12 dual axle enclosed trailer packed full of normal house stuff (it was decently heavy) with quite a few steep hills at the start..... Anyways I'd just be cruising allong nicely with boost at 14-15 psi and no problems and I'd hit a steep hill and it would just slow all to hell and go into limp mode, finally I got a SES light and I stoped at the nearest advanced auto parts to have to the codes cleared which turned out they werent allowed to do it so they handed me the scanner, the trouble code read "Boost Values Out of Range", so after all the big mountains I had no problems other than the fact that the fuel would get cut back for no apparent reason, I was running full boost most of the way but then at certain times I'd get almost not fuel (like limp mode) but no SES light..... I dont understand what the deal is, I have a 10k pot wired in turned all the way up.... is there anything else I can do???? I'd really like to be able to enjoy my IC and not being able to get the egts above 900* at full throttle.....

Basicly what I'm trying to say is that I'd like to be able to hold full throttle without it going into limp mode and cutting the fuel back.....

if you pick up the new heath computer it should defeat the boost code. when i was at his shop getting my new computer last week he asked if i had tripped that code and i never have. he was a little surprised at that. i dunno why it never tripped it, maybe bad sensor but he put on a heath t/m and suggested i get rid a the vacuum pump as i had never removed it even though i had a home made t/m on it for well over a year. i will say i prefer his t/m over my home made t/m. it worked but for some odd reason his works better. mine would hit 15 easy enough but occasionally at higher speeds would creep up a wee bit on me. his does not do that. it wil not exceed 15 and will hold it there. The way mine is I dont hardly ever hit right at 15 unless I'm at high speed like your talking..... Yeah I'd be willing to say a different length and strength spring would give different affects..... The new puter sounds like a great idea but my wife doesnt agree lol shes cut my truck spending off for the time being lol......
How do you like the computer though? I really wonder how much of a difference that makes, i've seen the difference on the newer trucks but I just dont know about bang for the buck on these....

Ya I'm not quite that far up there lol..... I've tried the repairs thing before, so much so that now when something really is broke she doesnt believe me..... I try to tell her that her neraly $600 a month car payment offsets my $0 a month truck payment so there should be a buffer in between lol...
