Okay so i know there are a million threads on remote starts, but everyone has power locks, and windows and all the goodies on their trucks. I have no p/l, p/w but still want to put a remote start on. Is there any out there that will allow me to do this, the astrostart sounded good to me but wasnt sure it it would work withouth the power locks. If there is a product i can get, please let me know where to get said product, thanks.

Sure is. All you need is a couple door lock actuators for 2 doors, or 4 actuators for 4 doors. I would normally charge $65 per door locally including parts to do a job like that (just for your info because I'm not a vendor, just to clear that up). For the remote start, you'll need a bypass module for the Passlock II system.

I wasnt looking to put in automatic locks, i just wanted the remote starter only. I wasnt sure if not having locks would make the auto start inconpatable.

If you're going to remote start, it's nice to be able to remotely lock/unlock doors.

you defiantly can omit the locks and just have a remote start feature. i installed a number of astro's in vehicles where people didnt want the lock/unlock feature installed

Agree with all the above. Some manufacturer's make an add-on remote start that doesn't have any other features.

Ive seen a couple setups that are remote start only, no lock features or anything else. Its been a while since i have seen them, but they do exist.

It is nice to have, but since his truck didn't come with them already installed, it's a lot of work and $$$$$$ to do.

Average price is around $65/door (parts and labor) to add power locks. That's just an actuator and wiring to the keyless entry. No external switches.
