I found a nice truck today, curious what you DC boys think its worth.

Here's the skinny:

1997 Club Cab SLT 5 spd 4x4
12 Valve Cummins
Firestone air-ride rear suspension
Spray In box Liner
Not a ding on it - and here's the best part...
ONLY 94,000 Km (59,000 miles)

How much would you pay?

I know this is mainly a GM site but I thought for sure you DC boys would chime in here - nobody thinks an old 12 valver is worth anything anymore or what??

I am not sure what it is worth, but if it is in good condition,I would think it would be worth around 12000 maybe,I am no expert on the 12 valvers but I do know they are pretty much bullet proof,I know there are a few guys looking for 12 valvers..

Here in Michigan that truck could easily bring $20,000 U.S. in good condition.

I have a 2001 for sale and I can't even give the thing away. Granted it's not a diesel but, $20k sounds steep for a 97.IMO

Key phrase. "Granted it's not a diesel but"

kellybluebook should help. Used vehicles are supply and demand items to sell. Here in FL you would get more for the truck in the country than the city. Either place would not bring over 12k

It's listed at 21K in Canuck Bucks so with the current exchange I think it would be about $16,800 USD.

I gave 9k for my 95 I just bought this fall. Auto and 135k on it. 12k wouldn't be an unreasonable price to pay.

I've been looking for one of those myself, around Ohio they have been advertising them for around 15-18,000$. You really can't go by KBB or NADA values those trucks are getting very hard to find and people are paying top dollar for them.

Id like to have a 12v. Last of the bulletproof diesels.

I just sold a 99 with over 100k miles for 17,800. Sold in three days. Had three more right behind him wanting to buy it. It really depends on where you sell it.

My uncle just called me last night, he wants to sell his 12v and buy a new chevy crew cab gasser! Anyway, his '95 4x4 only has 40,000 miles on it, it is an auto 3500 dually, regular cab. Two tone black/red, clear title, etc. What is this thing worth? He said he just had the brake lines/calipers all redone from sitting so much, truck has sit outside since new so the top (black part) is sun cooked the clear coat. He is in PA, maybe I should bring it out here to MI and sell it.
